Saw Cutting

What Is Saw Cutting?

Saw cutting refers to the use of a powered band saw to cut steel plates and blocks down to a precise size needed for further processing.

How It Works

Saw cutting is one of the most common fabrication processes in the metals industry. The process involves using a powered saw with a long, sharp blade consisting of a continuous band of toothed metal stretched between two or more wheels. An evenly distributed tooth load provides uniform cutting and results in amazingly accurate, straight cuts.
